Away yet so near

There is nothing as bad as pain...the pain of a loss

There is nothing worse than grief...missing a loved one

It never really ends...just diminishes to manageable levels

But then once in a while it overpowers us...

And no matter how strong, no matter how tough we may be

It comes on like a strong wind...a tornado!

A torrent of emotion...pain and grief reloaded

We love...we live...we laugh...we re-live...

Sadness, pain, grief, loss...they all catch up with us...

But I choose to celebrate...I choose to be thankful

True we never really move on from it...

But then life has to go on...albeit never the same

Mum I dance for you...I sing for you...I do it for you

I will make it....just so the dreams you had for me will come to fruition

And to you I owe my life...my being even!

And when you look down on me from whence you are at

A smile shall be what will manifest on your face

I loved you, I love you, I always will!

I know you are proud your son turned out this great!

I am my mama's son after all...Piranha out!
