The rise of Reckoning!

There was a time, a time not so long ago..

When the making of a star entailed more than just books

When examinations were simply a test of what we knew

Where a good book could be abandoned for the best of games

When a curriculum was not squeezed to fit

But then the dynamics have changed so much

In an insane twist a star has to be books and nothing else

The playgrounds have shrunk since they are no longer needed

The toys stashed away from anyone's line of sight

In a bid to make a star shine the light of education

And just like that the fun of education has been depleted

Schools have become just any other building we have to be in

As we go through a stage and await the next building-the workplace

No more games, no more television and no more fun to look forward to

The main claim being that what we need to succeed is to pass examinations

A generation of funless, serious and uptight people is what we are-what we have become

Where the minds have been grilled to pass examinations

Examinations have to be passed!-failing means we are losers, losers who are not needed

Its the time of reckoning...a rise of reckoning!-the Examination age!

The age of doom where only the victors have worth

The question that needs a serious answer is 'Are we making it or breaking it!'

Are we faking to make it while in truth we are breaking it?

At the end of the day the dilemma is we either fake it till we make it...

Or we make it again before we totally break it so that we can make it worth it!

Then again we can play with these words till we lose it!
