LEGITIMACY BY ANCESTRY PART 1: NOAH
To get a deeper feel of this series, we will go back to the Old testament and look at the several aspects that made an ancestry legitimate.
Genesis 6:9 This is the account of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked with God.
A legitimate ancestry only exists in absolute truth; It is only etched in fact. Thus in Christian circles, our ancestry exists in the truth that is God.
The key aspects we get regarding Noah here are righteousness, truth, and walking with God.
Righteousness gives him access to salvation from the flood.
Genesis 7:1 The LORD then said to Noah, "Go into the ark, you and your whole family, because I have found you righteous in this generation.
Righteousness is the standard that secures the bloodline of Noah, just as it is the standard that makes illegitimate the lineages of the sinful world.
