Hebrews 11:17 By faith Abraham, when God tested him, offered Isaac as a sacrifice. He who had received the promises was about to sacrifice his one and only son,
18 even though God had said to him, "It is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned."
19 Abraham reasoned that God could raise the dead, and figuratively speaking, he did receive Isaac back from death.

God's ancestry thrives on FAITH!
Faith activates trust; trust fosters obedience; obedience gives access to God's will!
Abraham's faith is credited to him as righteousness, and from him is birthed an ancestry legitimized in God!
Faith becomes the standard by which we access and please God! It becomes the one prerequisite without which we can neither come into nor function in salvation!
To access the manifest finished works of Christ you have to BELIEVE in Him & His power!
