LEGITIMACY BY ANCESTRY PART 4: ABRAM
Genesis 12:1 The LORD had said to Abram, "Leave your country, your people and your father's household and go to the land I will show you.
2 "I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.
3 I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you."
2 "I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.
3 I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you."
Abraham's identity begins with Abram.
Abram means exalted father, and in this state his identity is based on a personal singularity.
His limitation is not even
siring a legitimate ancestry, it is siring an ancestry altogether! He has a barren wife!
But God is not done with him; God wants to rewrite Abrams story!
He that has no chances of a heir, is about to be the source of blessings for nations! It trickles down to obeying God even when you cannot see the bigger picture!
