LEGITIMACY BY ANCESTRY PART 13: FROM ESAU TO JACOB CONTINUED

Genesis 25:32 "Look, I am about to die," Esau said. "What good is the birthright to me?"
34 Then Jacob gave Esau some bread and some lentil stew. He ate and drank, and then got up and left. So Esau despised his birthright.
A birthright determines who is heir by right! It is the legality validating ancestry to make it legitimate; it sets for an heir the grounds for access of their inheritance!
Esau trades his birthright for what is temporary (food). Perhaps he reasons that he still has the claim over it by virtue of his position as first born and also due to his father's intense love for him.
An equivalent today is how we handle God's grace. Every time we conform to worldly patterns we trade in our birthright for what is temporary!
Maybe your excuse is that Salvation is by grace, or that you are just but human hence imperfect. Maybe it is that you feel justified that your way of life is not "a big deal" in modern times. Maybe it is that the doctrine you have aligned to is perverted but you are ignorant of that.
Turn back from the deception! The value of your identity in God is priceless. Refuse to trade in!
