Because God's Purpose Over Me Is Perfect Part 1

Welcome to "Because God's Purpose Over Me Is Perfect". This is the introduction.
Man is anything but perfect, and to the greatest extent, our lives are also anything but perfect.
A lot of times, in our pursuit for what is perfect, we want or desire to forget the imperfections that have plagued our lives. But just how far and how fast can we run away from our mistakes? Or our past?
How well can we completely forget what pains and lows our lives have been subject to?
And just how easily can we get past what our mistakes determined in our lives and take on a blemish-free identity?
Well, this journey is all about understanding why even the highest standard of perfection of man just doesn't match up to a life of perfection, and also how to deal with our imperfections amidst all our desire for perfection. Welcome aboard.
The word perfection is derived from the noun perfect.
Perfect, according to the dictionary means:
-to be complete, without blemish and without fault
-to be ideal as per the given description
-excellent or complete beyond practical or theoretical improvement
This much we know, but as has become our culture, as we allow God to keep speaking to us, we have a mandate to look at what is also unconventional and what is also not wide practise.
Something interesting arose even as I discovered another meaning often used informally:
Perfect apparently also means 'without qualification'
Interesting...huh?
Let us break this down. Man is often comfortable with the known and relatable. Anything that involves getting results after labouring (and hard for that matter) - that, man can come to terms with! But when it comes to the zones where input is not equal to output (where the intensity of our labour does not determine the results we get), man dislikes that immensely!
And so when perfection means 'to be in a certain state' it actually makes it about something we can work towards and try to achieve.
But when perfection becomes 'without qualification', therein the drama begins! Because that right there, stops to be about us and what we can do, and it relinquishes the power of control from us!
Now, in reality, that is an uncomfortable place! And moreso because when we have no control over stuff, we have to bow down to whatever power that has control. And we sure do not like to be pushed around!
And so we look for the perfect job, the perfect house, the perfect car, the perfect family, the perfect network of friends, etc, but we forget that when we do that, we make perfection about us and our standards, and we forget the most important thing:
There is a standard higher than our own! And as long as there is a higher standard of things, it is that standard that determines perfection!
Man has a standard, but not THE standard! It is God who has the standard! In fact, HE IS THE STANDARD!
And as long as God is the standard, then your qualifications are simply smoke!
And I am sure that can be scary; especially being that you have worked so hard to get off the pains and lows of your past and present!
The Bible in 2nd Corinthians 12:9 says: But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.
Your weakness needs to be made perfect in God!
Because child of God, until you access God's perfection, you will keep thinking that your life revolves around what standard society has set!
And you will stop running away from the darkness that looms in your life and expose it to the Light that is God. John 1:
3 Through Him all things were made; without Him, nothing was made that has been made
4 In Him was life, and this life was the light of men
So, child of God, once you come to terms with what you have had to go through, you will realize that "EVERYTHING worketh for good to those who love God and are called according to His purpose"
Do you love God?
Well, enter rest and let Him sort you out.
God bless you!
