Because God's Purpose Over Me Is Perfect Part 6

...continued from "Because God's Purpose Over Me Is Perfect" Part 5
Last time we concluded on the final segment of 'Nothing Good From Galilee'. Welcome to 'Mud On My Eyes Made Me See!'
Sight is a lovely thing! And without it, we are bound to have direction issues!
Sight, or its lack thereof determines how much detail we can perceive at any given time!
Before we get into the word, it is important to understand that sight is a function of light!
Where there is light, darkness takes a back seat! And when darkness is vanquished, sight is restored! Halleluyah!
Let us get into the word:
John 9:
10 "How then were your eyes opened?" they demanded.
11 He replied, "The man they call Jesus made some mud and put it on my eyes. He told me to go to Siloam and wash. So I went and washed, and then I could see."
A few verses later, the word confirms things:
John 9:15 Therefore the Pharisees also asked him how he had received his sight. "He put mud on my eyes," the man replied, "and I washed, and now I see."
I want us to note a few things about the response this man gives:
He starts by saying "The man THEY call Jesus". Lack of sight gave this man a lack of relationship with anything he could not see. Because he had no point of reference for anyone or anything! He had been blind since birth after all!
He could only relate with what others who were present could tell him. He had heard of this man's name, but his relationship with this man Jesus was on account of 'they' - OTHERS!
He then continues to say that mud was made and placed on his eyes! If this man had sight, I doubt he would have been enthusiastic about the methodology Christ used to make the mud that was placed on his eyes.
To everyone around the mud-making method may have seemed wierd, but to this man, his desire for sight overode all else!
Just how much more is your desire for God's will in comparison to the difficulty (sometimes even the shame that comes in the exposure of your dark areas) in the instruction God has given for your healing, deliverance and restoration?
After the mud is in place, Jesus gives this man an instruction to go wash up in the Siloam pool.
Now, one of the key things I have discovered is constantly needed in a walk with God is OBEDIENCE!
This blind man had a role to play. He had to seek direction to the pool at Siloam and it is from there that he would wash up and receive sight!
This is what inspires me about this story:
He would go to Siloam blind, but he would come back with sight! He would go in one state, but come back in another!
Halleluyah!
Obedience was the key to his transformation! And obey he did!
It no longer mattered that he had been blind since birth! It no longer mattered that he had nothing to relate with before, because he could now see! Newness was upon him!
Child of God it does not matter how long you have been in darkness; in blindness! I know more often than not you are in and out of dark and blind spots, but don't you worry!
Christ is working on you already! The mud is already placed upon your eyes! Go to Siloam and wash up!
I speak the restoration of sight upon your life right now!
God bless you!
