FULL CIRCLE Part 2
..continued from part 1. This is Full Circle part 2
Today we begin a journey into understanding wholeness. As established in part one, the state of wholeness, which is the definition of integrity, is not borne out of human effort, but rather God's nature. Let us take this deeper by getting into scripture:
2nd Kings 5:1 Now Naaman was commander of the army of the king of Aram. He was a great man in the sight of his master and highly regarded, because through him the LORD had given victory to Aram. He was a valiant soldier, but he had leprosy.
The first verse of 2nd Kings Chapter 5 introduces us to Naaman. Naaman had a profile that could put the fear of God into any man! Let us break it down:
-He was the commander of the army of Aram
When you have command of an army, your word becomes law! Whatever instruction you give is carried out with haste and without question! In fact, the only people who arise against the army commander are those that want their heads not to have a relationship with the rest of their bodies! This man Naaman did not just have command, he was the command itself! Simply put, he had authority! Halleluyah!
-He was a great man in his master's sight
Now, when you are a great man in the sight of your master, it means you have found favour in his eyes. Everything you take or say before him (your master) is given the utmost attention! When you show up before your master, everything else ceases and makes room so that you can be attended to first! Simply put, this man Naaman had favour!
-He was highly regarded
When you are walking in favour and you are the central command, you enter into the arena of regard. You are highly regarded, whether out of fear, esteem or admiration! People want to be you, they want to live your lifestyle! This man Naaman walked, talked, related and dined with the high and mighty of the land! Simply put, he had status!
-The Lord used him to bring victory to Aram!
Now, this is the most outstanding quality about this man! You may have all the world but without God using you, that is simply vanity! But not this man Naaman! He had it all materially, and he had the most amazing ingredient of all; being used by God for victory! Simply put, he had the backing of heaven in his mandate!
-He was a valiant soldier.
Naaman was not just about barking orders from the sidelines, when he was done with the orders, he got into it and showed his mean how to get it done! Simply put, he was courageous, diligent and outstanding in his trade of practise! He had earned the right to be command! When the army saw him, they saw a person who deserved his position, and a person they were willing to bet their lives on! The army did not see a boss, they saw a hero!
Now, all these made up for the most admirable man in the kingdom, except for one thing:
-HE HAD LEPROSY!
Now, this formidabble man was perfect...well, almost perfect! And at the heart of all these amazing traits lay a condition! A condition that made this circle to not be a full circle!
And as long as he had this condition, he was not whole! And he could not be complete! And so the mightiest man of Aram, who basked in authority, favour, status, God's use and excellence, had an imperfection that invalidated all he was and all he had; he had leprosy!
Halleluyah!
Child of God you may have the most admirable features, traits, lifestyle, etc, yet like Naaman, in your own unique way, you may be a leper! And today even as you read this, you are looking at your life and seeing leprosy in some areas!
And unless your leprosy is taken care of, I assure you, there will be no wholeness! Because as long as your situation keeps invalidating who you are and what you have, then this circle wont be full!
God bless you!
