Because God's Purpose Over Me Is Perfect Part 3

...continued from "Because God's Purpose Over Me Is Perfect!" Part 2.
Last time we looked at the first part of The Blemish In My Perfection, as the first sub-topic in this series. This is the continuation. Welcome to the second part of The Blemish In My Perfection!
In this segment, we will do a lot of soul searching. We had established that in our quest for perfection, we often have to contend with the things that blemish us; the things that are often the source of our woes and frustration!
We ended up coming down to that question that may just be the source of trouble: WHAT IS THE BLEMISH IN YOUR PERFECTION?
Before we get into unravelling all that, let us encounter a few truths!
Firstly it is important to note that if you are truly in trouble but you are still in denial, because maybe you want to save face and be presented to your environment as what you need your environment to see you, then you need a reality check!
Secondly, if you are reading this with a self-righteous attitude that only allows you to examine your life in a one-sided perspective, then you also need a reality check!
If you have masks to cover up your true nature, in a bid and an attempt to run away from the realities of your life, then you do need a reality check!
If your insecurities and blemishes have driven you into a state of frustration, which you are comfortable living with because you feel powerless, then you need an assessment of who or what is in control of your life - you or your blemish?
This section is meant to bring you into light, the very light of men, who is Jesus Christ as per John 1:4!
Child of God I know your blemishes are your point of embarassment; the elements you wish were non-existent in your life!
Maybe your embarassment is that you got a poor grade in school, or your background of poverty, or even your messed up parents whom society despises!
Maybe it is that child you got out of wedlock, or what you did to get that job, promotion, etc, or even the fact that the school you studied in is named in a certain native tongue!
And so you desire better and bigger, if only to run away from your blemish, and you end up doing anything and everything to get yourself into a place of relevance! Yet the Bible in 1st John 2:16 says For all that is in the world - the lust of the flesh, the lust if the eyes, and the PRIDE OF LIFE - is not of the Father but is of the world
I know it feels horrible every time someone associates you with your blemish! Everytime they are surprised that a person with your past and history can be used by God, or even be in God for that matter!
I know there are even people who are counting down to your next blunder! Because they do not believe that a person with such a past as yours can ever change!
And so your blemish keeps frustrating your intended perfection; and you become rattled and unsettled every time you see the scars left by your blemish!
Every time you remember that abortion, that addiction to drugs that makes you powerless, that lust that always persists and leads you to masturbation and fornication, that relationship or job or business that keeps driving you out of God's will yet you are stuck to it like glue!
Child of God you may not be able to change your past, but you are capable of changing the current direction of your life!
1st John 1:9 says that If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness!
Remember this then: James 1:21 Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls!
God bless you!
