Because God's Purpose Over Me Is Perfect Part 5
...continued from "Because God's Purpose Over Me Is Perfect" Part 4
Last time we looked at the first segment of 'Nothing Good From Galilee', and in this second segment, we take it deeper.
Last time we established the stigma surrounding Galilee. A stigma that affected anyone, anywhere and anything associated with Galilee!
Being a Galilean was like having a disease; having a bad condition that made one despised. It was a blemish to anyone born or brought up there! No one from Galilee was taken seriously! They were misfits, and who they were and what they carried within them seemed not to matter!
John 7:52 They replied, "Are you from Galilee, too? Look into it, and you will find that a prophet does not come out of Galilee."
How unfortunate? The thing about a mind that is not renewed is that it is an old wineskin which cannot accommodate new wine!
Just how renewed is your mind? Because if it keeps breaking down and bursting every time it tries to think about what God can do, then it is a mind in stagnation!
If your mind keeps looking at the things God is doing and you're looking for a logical explanation, then your mind is not renewed!
Your history may be against you, your current state of life may be a stumbling block, but God has a plan! He has an agenda over your life!
You may be at your wit's end, but you need to trust in God again! You need to have an Isaiah 60:1 moment! Arise and shine! Arise to the possibilities a life in God offers and brings forth!
Romans 12:2 Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.
This series is about understanding God's purpose (will) over our lives! It is now clear that we cannot understand God's will unless our minds be renewed!
Because when our minds encounter renewal, we think differently! And we know well that as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he!
Acts 4:13 When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus.
Earlier on in chapter one of acts, Peter and John are part of the group of men (disciples) who are addressed in Acts 1:11 as 'Men of Galilee'.
Child of God when people look at you they may see all the Galilee that there is to see, but the one thing that will make a difference in your life is who you have on your side!
When they begin to look at your life with an attitude that you do not meet the standard they need, suddenly they will have a shift in mindset and a change of heart because they will associate your life with Jesus!
Suddenly, they (and even you) will begin to see the favour, grace and anointing over your life and they will realize it can't be about your effort!
Your life is changing for the better! Because you cannot encounter Christ (who is the word), and remain the same! Man (and woman) of Galilee, nature and norm have been defied! Christ has done the impossible! Something good is now found in Galilee, and you are part of it!
God bless you!
