Worship, Love And Grace: PART NINE
Welcome
to Worship, Love and Grace. This is the pre-finale of this particular
series and today we will thus begin to wrap up. It is my hope that this
journey has been a blessing to you so far. May the Lord speak to us more
and more. Baraka!
Today we will look at the connection between Worship, Love and Grace. As God kept ministering into my heart more and more about these three aspects of the Faith, I slowly began to realize that Worship and Grace are both a function of Love!
Worship, as we has established, is intimacy with God; there can be no true and genuine intimacy unless there be Love!
Grace is free and unmerited favour, borne of the kindness of God; there can be no true and genuine kindness unless there be Love!
Love dictated the dispensation of the Law and Love dictates the dispensation of Grace and Truth!
The dispensation of the Law was meant to reinforce the love of man towards God; the dispensation of Grace and Truth is meant to reinforce the Love of God towards man!
And so what once was seen to revolve around works and worship, now revolves around mercy and grace!
Child of God when you love God, you will find yourself in true worship!
When you love God, the grace He has supplied will give you access to the portion of those He loves!
I know God may seem distant in your life at times,
And I know that sometimes you feel unable to worship,
And I know sometimes you take His grace for granted,
But today I came here to speak what He wants from you! And all He wants from you is your true and genuine LOVE!
Halleluyah!
Hear this: You did not choose God! He chose you! He snatched you out the fire! My Bible tells me that He has called me out of the darkness into his wonderous light!
Child of God the command today is simple! Return to me with Love!
Where is your first love? Where is the passion for God?
Now, hear this: Amos 4:11 "I overthrew some of you as I overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah. You were like a burning stick snatched from the fire, yet you have not returned to me," declares the LORD.
Today, I am calling us back to rememberance! Back to our lives before He drew us into Himself!
Because if we can remember our hopelessness, distress, chaotic lives, paths of destruction then, we will come into a realization that our redemption came at a cost! And we can NEVER be able to meet the cost of our redemption, regardless of what we have done, been doing, or will ever do for God!
Now, I know am here to relate Worship, Love and Grace, but I assure you, there can be no relationship between any of those aspects, without Love!
Love is the connector! And once we understand the connector, we can establish the connection!
And so today, I am rallying a cry unto the nations, to come back to the Love of God! Because when the Love of God is at play, there is a deep understanding of Grace and Worship!
You may have been wondering how you will worship God in Spirit and Truth;
You may have been wondering how to not take for granted the grace of God!
And quite frankly, the answer is simple!
Come back to the Love of God!
I want to begin to bring this to a close by looking at these two scriptures:
Isaiah 56:6-7
6 And foreigners who bind themselves to the LORD to serve him, to love the name of the LORD, and to worship him, all who keep the Sabbath without desecrating it and who hold fast to my covenant--
7 these I will bring to my holy mountain and give them joy in my house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be accepted on my altar; for my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations."
1st Timothy 1:14 The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.
Now, these two scriptures can mean a lot of things!
Scripture one is from the dispensation of the Law, and love and worship need to take place, so that there can be acceptance on the altar!
Scripture two is from the dispensation of Grace and Truth, and the grace happens to affirm love!
And so as earlier said, Worship and Grace are both functions of Love! One from the love of man towards God, the other from the Love of God towards man!
