Worship, Love And Grace PART TWO
Hi
family, this is what I was ministering somewhere tonight. It is a
continuation of a segment I am doing on Worship, Love and Grace
As earlier stated, our main theme for this section is worship
The topic is "The Place of Prayer in Worship"
And, it's time to get this party started
Today in our quest to learn more about worship, our journey will take us to discussing two verses
Exodus 23:
25 Worship the LORD your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you,
26 and none will miscarry or be barren in your land. I will give you a full life span.
James 5:15 And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven.
Before I get into scripture, allow me to first set a background to what I feel led by the Holy Spirit to address
We established last time that
"When our heart is right in its worship, then whatever emanates is worship that carries forth a transformative power to the environment"
This in turn means that our worship carries within it the power to change situations and turn them around'
Thus, the proper result of true worship is change/transformation, from within and without
Child of God your worship has the influence to change not just your situation, but that of the people around you!
Halleluyah!
Prayer is simply communion with God!
This is to say that prayer is a means to connectivity to God
And prayer puts our hearts right with God! This is because in prayer we address what is inside (our heart) and what is outside (our environment)
And it is important you note this: "the state of your heart is the state of your life"
Whatever is going on within you, will find itself being expressed to the outside!
In fact the Bible expressly says:
Proverbs 4:23 Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.
Hence, the means to attaining a heart that is right with God is established through prayer
When we want to calm the storm within, we talk to God (pray)!
When the storm within is calmed, the storm without loses its power!
Child of God the place of prayer ensures you are plugged in to God (the source of all power)
When you are connected to God in prayer, you develop an intimacy which births true worship
Now, let us get back into the scriptures we are meant to look at
Exodus 23:25-26 establishes a few things very clearly!
1. There is power in worship!
2. Worship is transformative!
3. The consequence of worship is an encounter with the supernatural power of God!
Now, here are the things James 5:15 establishes:
1. There is power in prayer!
2. Prayer is transformative!
3. The consequence of prayer is an encounter with the supernatural power of God!
Interesting...huh?
The place of prayer establishes the place of worship!
Watch this: Do you realize the worship songs we sing are prayers we are actually making?
I implore you to right now think about the lyrics of any worship song you sing and speak them as words!
They sound like a prayer...right?
Why? It is because they are actually a prayer!
And so child of God, it is not the music that makes the worship, it is the prayer (whether plain or integrated im music), that makes the worship!
Oh...wait! You dint hear me!
I said this "It is not the music that makes the worship, it is the prayer (whether plain or integrated im music), that makes the worship!"
Halleluyah!
I wanna wrap this up!
Hear this: When we acknowledge the place of prayer, we establish the dimension of worship!
Here's the revelation: Connectivity (prayer), births Intimacy (worship)!
Halleluyah!
So, child of God, the importance of a prayerlife in the life of a worshipper cannot be underemphasized!
I say to you O worshipper: Arise in prayer, and you will access true worship!
And that is where we end tonight. May the Lord bless you abundantly!
See you next time
