I Reject The King's Portion! Part 2
Grace to you and peace from our Father dear brethren. Last time we started looking at this subject in a bid to understand how the body of Christ can shun what is worldly and fully stand for Him. It came to our attention that to be able to identify any corruption, it is important to have knowledge of the original; to have knowledge of the original entails interacting with the source of the original. We established that God is the absolute origin, foundation and source. Today we will be looking at the importance of being connected to the source. John 15:4-6 says: ‘Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.
The most important thing to note about a vine is that its branches are just channels for the life it carries. If a branch were to be disconnected from the vine, then the branch would wither and die because it carries no life of its own. The same is also true with a river. If a river is disconnected with its source, the flow stops and where there was once life, only death is found. To us as the body of Christ, this is possibly the most important lesson we can learn. Because everything we are and we do is only made relevant by our being connected to the true source of our Faith. For us the only true source of our lives is Christ and as long as it is him we are connected to, we will have an unadulterated supply of life in us. As I was thinking about this, God ministered to me that it is not just about connectivity, but that also we have to vet what source we are connected to so as to establish if it is the proper source or a corrupted version of it.
The Church today is in a crisis because we stopped being keen about what version of the source we get connected to. Variations in doctrine are a direct consequence of being connected to adulterated sources. The most outrageous fact is that the body of Christ is disunited because of conflicts arising from man’s interpretation of God. We war and fight and get into conflict because our denomination, church, “man or woman of God”, etc, interprets God differently from the next. We get into carnal confrontations because we have connected to adulterated sources. WHEN WE CONNECT TO ABSOLUTE TRUTH, ALL DEBATE CEASES! Absolute Truth carries absolute Light; absolute Light carries absolute Life! Christ’s manifest presence leaves no room for debate because when He shows up, all corruption gets its marching orders. However, because we have become inebriated with the doctrines of men, our source has shifted from God to those we deem to be of relevance in the Christian society. We have to stop becoming our own greatest enemies and move camp from religious dogma into absolute Truth (Christ).
PRAYER: Father God receive all the glory for Your unchanging Truth. Today I surrender all alignment to the dictates and the will of man and the corruption of a misguided focus. Return my focus to the Source. Amen.
