Lukewarm Ain't Hot Enough For Me Part 7

Grace to you and peace from our Father dear brethren. Toady we will look at a very interesting section of the scriptures. In studying our subject matter, there are very interesting things that God has ministered to my heart that have changed how I think completely. In this segment and the next one, there are two things in particular that am compelled to share. Ezekiel 47:1-8 talks about a river flowing from under the theeshold of the temple. The river is measured at intervals of one thousand cubits. At each subsequent measuring point, the river is deeper than it was before. And the semblance of this river to the Christian walk is interesting to ponder on. I am especially drawn to Ezekiel 47:3-4 'And when the man went out to the East with the line in his hand, he measured one thousand cubits, and he brought me through the waters; the water came up to my ankles. Again he measured(NKJV)'.
These three forms of depth (ankle-deep,knee-deep and waist-deep), are indications of the believer's lifestyle which is living out a warped sense of control, trust, comfort and obedience. They spell out the life of the believer who wants to be in some measure of control, whose trust is circumstantial, who is comfortable with just enough godliness to get by, and whose obediece is subjective. This in essence means that in these three depths id lifestyle, the believer is executing their mandate subject to how much they feel they are on form rather than the empowering of God that comes in total trust and obedience.
Brethren, the timeline for revival is dependent on trust. We have to come to that place where trusting God is not optional but mandatory. If we are to experience the full measure of God's intent, then we have to be willing to lose sight of the shore. A quote is given that "A ship in the harbour is safe, but the safety of the harbour is not what the ship was designed for". If we are to desist from upholding a lukewarm nature, then we have to be willing to get past a lifestyle that only allows us to encounter the ankle-deep and waist-deep waters. God did not design us to encounter a little or almost complete fullness with Himself; He designed us to encounter His total fullness and that is only possible when we lose control and let the Holy Spirit have all the control.
PRAYER: Father in heaven I give You glory for designing me to fellowship with You. I desire the fullness of Your fellowship and so I open myself up to You. I lose control so that You may have all the control. Steer me as per Your pleasure Lord. I am fully Your vessel.
